Bake This! If you haven’t tried baked goods from this local company, you’re missing out!

Hampton Bays native Monica Hanes has created some amazing products and we’ll be selling some of them in Farm 2 Kitchen Long Island’s online farmer’s market. This week my husband and I sat down for a taste test and here’s what happened:

If you’re looking for a gluten free dessert look no further:

This Flourless Chocolate Cake with Almond Filling had my husband begging for more. It was rich but balanced in taste, not too sweet. It had me thinking “If gluten free tastes like this, I’ll give it a try!”

Next up Brickle Bliss:

This is beyond your average cookie. My husband’s second choice. Let me just say He LOVED each item but this was his favorite cookie. The Brickle as we like to call it for short in the Bollman household, has toffee bits and coconut so you get different bursts of flavor in every bite.

Now to the Lemon Snaps:

We enjoyed a spot of tea one rainy afternoon this week and added a few of these Lemon Snaps in the mix. My husband did a trial dip of one of these bad boys into this teacup and then the dunking continued. We did some damage into this bag of cookies during tea time.

These Lemon Snaps are made with fresh lemon zest and fresh lemon juice. The flavor is vibrant at first bite…and one bite naturally turns into 30.

Did someone say butterscotch?

Monica’s Butterscotch Bar is yet another hit! It is dense and rich and has just the right amount of pecans. Monica recommends serving this fine bar with vanilla ice cream and butterscotch sauce or caramel. My husband and I don’t hold back…lets just say we didn’t even have time to get a plate. The bar is fantastic right out of the bag.

Starting in May you’ll be able to purchase Bake This! goodies here at Farm 2 Kitchen Long Island…trust me it’s worth the wait.
